Internships

IMG_3916.jpg

Every fall, winter and spring, we offer internships and training in the arts of birding, class management, group dynamics, and public speaking. Interning is a great way to get involved in outdoor, nature-based education. Internships are offered for credit through the UC Santa Cruz Environmental Studies internship office. Budget-depending, we also offer paid internships.

WINTER/SPRING 2023 UPDATE:

Interning for credit

Are you an undergraduate student in the Monterey Bay region interested in environmental science, ecology, and/or outdoor education? We’d love to have you part of the team! We offer for credit internships to students at UC Santa Cruz (2-unit and 5-unit internships available) and CSU Monterey Bay (through service learning).

Please use this link to send us your contact info and availability as soon as you are interested. This will allow enough time for us to get your internship set up with your school: BSP Internship Google Form

Give back to your community with the gift of nature

The Bird School Project prides itself on serving the community and it is our volunteers that help us achieve this goal. If you have a few hours to spare each week to teach, or want to help us with fundraising and outreach, or simply have an idea of your own, come volunteer with Bird School! We offer trainings in birding, citizen science programs, class management, and group dynamics. If interested, please get in contact with us to set up a time to meet. Thanks for your interest!
