Bird School Project is excited to join the festivities! Celebrate World Wetlands Day with Watsonville Wetlands Watch on Saturday, February 3rd, at Struve Slough with a wetlands restoration project, educational activities hosted by local environmental and climate organizations, live music, and lunch! Meet by the butterfly statue near the Struve Slough trailhead, located in the lower parking lot of the Watsonville Square (Nob Hill) shopping center (1912 Main Street). Registration begins at 9:30am; the free, family-friendly event runs from 10am-1pm.
EVENT SCHEDULE:
9:30-10:00am - Registration
10:00-10:20am - Welcome / speakers
10:30am-12:00pm - Wetland restoration projects - invasive plant removal, native plant installation, litter clean-up, children’s educational activities.
11:00am-1:00pm - Educational activities and tabling by local environmental and climate organizations.
12:00-1:00pm - Live music and lunch.
